There are things that go bump in the night. Recently, they’ve been louder than usual. The world has gotten used to the idea of meta-humans. The hubs of the world, have learned well what they are capable of, and that many are dedicated to the protection of human life. But the monsters are changing, growing in numbers. Strange creatures have been springing up all over the world. They range from minor dangers, to absolute terrors.
And with them have risen those who are want them dead. They too range in power, some normal people that are taking things into their own hands. The others match those of the powerhouses in the world. They had special powers like Superman, Wonder Woman, and other American icons. Not only are they arising in America though.
Japan has gained their own base of heroes while these new threats continue to escalate. Of course...the sudden surfacing of heroes in Japan has caught the attention of a mysterious person who plans on observing their talents and abilities along with competence in order to form a group of defenders. Funny thing is...that isn't all of what's going on and much more is in store for all those unsuspecting people. Question is, what else could be going on?
Will you be one of the trouble-makers, taking lives and causing chaos? Or will you join the ranks of the upstanding men and women, fighting for justice and all that is good in the world?

Jake walked down the hallway and into the room. He held a piece of paper in his hand. It wasn't a very pleasant message and he was afraid he would be framed as a mole. He had just recently joined the team and had talked to very few people. He walked in and saw George Cain standing up and stomping out of the room.
"Bad mission? or did you get this message also?" He said somewhat cranky. He held up the paper and gave it to Cain. He had come here to meet with someone to find out what exactly the paper meant. He wanted to do something about it but he knew he could not without... help.
"I hate those JERKS, they never know when to quit, do they!?" Seth asked, furious. He never knew how to be the leader and probably would never learn. He waited for a reply from Cain. He simply hoped it would be something that he wanted to hear.
He fumed something else but this time quietly and to himself. He moved to the table in the middle of the room and sat in a chair. He soon realized there was a piece of the table missing. It looked as if something, or someone, heavy had hit hard and broke a piece off.

Body/ Build: Thin, not scrawny, strong, not bulging muscles.
Appearance (at least a paragraph): Jake is a tallish man who is strong yet has a thin body. He has a bow slung across his back over his black jacket and white shirt. He tends to wear baggy jeans and normal black tennis shoes. He has a scruffy chin and a fair face. His eyes are blue and his hair is dark and long, most of which is hidden under a dark colored hat. He has a scar on his arm that he normally keeps hidden.
Physical Traits (describe each one): Jake has a long deep and jagged scar on his right arm that he mainly keeps covered under his jacket. The scar is filled with the element he absorbed last.
Special Skills: He is very athletic and can move rather swiftly. He is very good with Bows he has one specifically designed for him.
Powers/Gift (at least a paragraph): Jake has the ability to absorb and use any element he chooses to absorb at that time. If he were to touch a rock wall he could absorb it to control the element of earth. He can coat himself with the element making him a huge giant rock monster or a flying fiery beast to a puddle of water, to disguise him in the rain. The only downside to his power is he cannot use more than one element at once. Also depending on the element will be how quick he can move when he uses that element. Such as with the earth element he goes pretty slow with fire he goes rather fast.
Trustworthy: Jake is very trustworthy for the most part but he is very irresponsible. He can’t keep track very many things.
Personality type (a paragraph or two will do): Jake is a phlegmatic and melancholy kind of guy, though he does not get depressed easily, he is very creative in different ways. When he meets knew people he kind of quiets down until he feels comfortable with them. Then he starts to be more outgoing and caring towards them. He does not have a big mouth but he will tell the truth when it comes down to it.
Is the character confident in his/herself: Most of the time Jake is confident in himself and he rarely gets over confident.
Wise: For Jake it really depends on his circumstances and what instinct tells him to do. If he is working under stress Jake will not act wisely rather he will work on instinct, but if there is no stress he will take the time to think things through.
Caring: Yes, he is caring but he really has to get to know the person before he will show it. He will do almost anything for someone he knows really well.
Leader: Jake is not a very good leader he because he can’t keep things organized very well and also because he doesn’t work well under stress.
Brave: Jake is brave but not brave enough to put someone else’s life on the line.
Fears: Jake has a fear of everyone around him being hurt because of him and his powers. He is afraid of being buried alive.
Likes and dislikes: He is cool with most anything. The only thing he doesn’t like is people who think too much of themselves.
Weapon of choice: Bow and Arrow, he also has a Long Knife to use at close range.
Pet: he has a pet hawk that he cares for but lets it fly around while he learns how to tame his powers.
History (at least three paragraphs): Jake was born in a log cabin on the countryside of Alabama. When he was born most of his siblings were old enough to be in high school, but did not go to school because their parents couldn’t support them enough to go. They lived several years in the log cabin but when Jake turned five they moved to the countryside in New York. There they built a new cabin and they lived there for several years. Several years later, when Jake was eleven or so, he discovered his powers, when he was playing a game with his friend. He had walked out on his patio, hoping to hide from his friend. Soon his friend found him and jokingly acted as if he didn’t see Jake and, accidentally, pushed him off the steps. When Jake hit the ground, hands first; he, unknowingly, absorbed the power of earth. His friend helped him up off the ground. They realized his hands were scraped up so Jake and his friend walked over to a small pond Jake had in his backyard. He then got down on the ground and rinsed his hands off in the water. Behind them they had heard a crash; they turned around and saw that a huge boulder had landed a few feet away from them. When Jake brought his hands up from the water the liquid lifted up also. His friend realized what had happened and he freaked out, he then ran back to Jake’s house and hid in fear. Seven years later, Jakes parents had him doing little jobs around the house such as taking care of the lawn. So when he was ready to water the lawn with water from the pond, because they had no running water, He decided that he would try to uses his power. He dipped his hands in the pond and made chords of water go to the lawn. But to Jake’s surprise his mom had been watching him from the window. When she saw that Jake was controlling the water she let out a sharp yelp which scared him that it made him loose control of the water and he coated himself in water which made his mother scream again. He finally got control of his power and he let the water leave his body. Immediately after, he ran into the house to apologize but his mother chased him out of the house with a butcher knife. He tried to stop her from hurting anyone but when he did she whipped it around and it sliced his arm. Finally, it seemed, he got the message he wasn’t wanted in the house anymore. He ripped part of his shirt off and tightly rapped it around his arm to try and stop the bleeding.
What is he/she doing now: Jake has been perfecting his power and looking for someone to accept him.
Relationship with other characters: Jake is a newer person to the world of mutants. He feels like he’s the only one. Since the day he’s was kicked out of his house he has not found another person that shares his freakish nature.
Special feelings toward other characters: Since Jake really doesn’t know anyone else he really does have any special feelings.
How he reacts to other characters: He will act kindly but he won’t really try to begin a conversation with someone else unless that person has gotten to know him pretty good.
How other characters react toward him/her: Most people will see him and take pity seeing that he is homeless but won’t normally try to help him thanking he may be diseased or something.
Extra info: Two of Jake sibling also had mutant powers but neither of them discovered it until they had already left their family.

Cain slammed his fist into the table, breaking off a chunk of it. He had just come back from a mission that was supposed to whip out the government and their precious Invincibles but once again, the Inbetweens thwarted their plans and both the government and the JLA ended up with heavy casualties, while the Inbetweens left unscathed. He was in the Watch Tower and several heroes would be joining him. He would give them a piece of his mind, they were supposed to be the best in the nation and a few villains keep taking them down. Which meant one or two things, either, they were weak, or their was a mole. Batman, had leaked information before on accident, but he didn't believe he would do it on purpose.
Cain sat down and scooted his chair up to the table and waited on the other heroes to get there. He lean backed and observed his own wound. He had been hit by a bullet in the arm, he used electricity to draw it out but he hadn't gotten it stitched up yet. He did have his upper arm covered in stone though to control the bleeding.
Cain pulled the laptop on the table towards him and opened his e-mail. He only had one new forward from a Daniel Hugo Montereya. At first he thought it was just spam and was about to delete it but he noticed who else the message had been forwarded to. Several other members of the JLA, including ones who had gone over to the Government. "Better take a look I guess." He muttered.
To Whom It May Concern: We the Inbetweens of America would like to congratulate you on your service to the JLA and the Invincibles, however, we have noticed neither of you can beat us and we have placed moles in each of your departments, now either surrender or suffer horribly. We will not surrender and we cannot be crushed, give up before you end up six feet under. With love, The Inbetweens
Cain nearly exploded, he was right there were moles. Now he just needed to weed them out. He shut the laptop quickly. If he let anyone else, they would start accusing each other and he wouldn't be able to get to the bottom of this. He was the only one who could know, and maybe he could get to the mole before they had another desasturous battle.

Appearance (at least a paragraph) : His hair is brown and short, it is spiked up. His eyes are are crystal blue. He usually wears a trench coat and jeans, with a white tee-shirt. He is very built he is at the peak of human strength. He has a large scar across his chest.
Physical traits (describe each one): He is built to the maximum a human can be. He has a large scar across his chest that looks his chest was ripped open. He is tall.
Special traits/Skills: He is very skilled with weapons and can use most any. He has a small arsenal, containing a few sniper rifles, gernade launchers, desert eagles, shotguns, and such.
Powers/Gift (at least a paragraph): He has control of lightning. He can use the electrons in the air to fly and he can make lightning strike any where in site, inside buildings, underground, any where were there are electrons to manipulate. He has control of the ground as well. He can form rocks around his body that are impenetrable. He can also shift the earth to make walls of rock, spike to come out of the earth and so on.

Personality type (a paragraph or two will do): He is very head strong he believes in himself and justice and everything but at the same time he is a jokester and tries to make light out of the darkest situations. He is tough on the battle field he doesn't tolerate slacking or mess-ups. He is very kind at the very core of him, and he is always willing to help.

Weapon(s) of choice: Desert Eagles, Lightning and Earth
Pet(s): He has a lion that is semi-tame, that he only takes on hismore dangerous missions.
History (at least three paragraphs): He was born on earth with his abilities. He was taken into the Teen Titans at a very early age of ten. He was a huge success and the JLA took him in after only six years. He was transferred off world to maintain peace in that world. He fell in love on that world and was married, however, his wife was killed in a plane crash caused by an alien terrorist that Cain murdered two hours later. After another six years he was brought back to earth and made a Sargent in the army, he fought for several years and then retired and rejoined the JLA. They made him a leader and he had free reign to do as he pleased. He took in a lion and kept him as a pet. The lion was faithful to him and he was trained as a partner, however, the lion attacked Cain on one of their missions and left Cain with a terrible scar on his chest. When the Invincibles Act was passed he immediately opposed and made a team to take down the Government before a problem could arise. However, the Inbetweens spoiled his plans and took him down as well as several other heroes and government cronies. Since then several heroes and villains have joined the Government and the group the Inbetweens keeps growing in numbers. Cain remains faithful to the JLA and their cause.
What is he/she doing now: He is joining up with the JLA to oppose the Government, he was in the battle when the JLA was defeated by the Inbetweens and saw several friends die.
Relationship with other characters: None, he thinks it will only be a weakness for someone to exploit
Special feelings toward other characters: none
How he/she reacts to other characters: He is usually the joker of the group
How other characters react toward him/her: They almost always like him and look up to him.

The Plot (MUST READ) « Result #8 on Dec 20, 2008, 9:36pm »
The United States government is trying to force all superheros into a global police force called The Invincibles. The JLA for the most part has completely rejected it, there are a few who have turned to the government and villains have joined them as well seeking amnesty. Most of the villains, however, have taken the opportunity to take out the government and the JLA and formed a group called the Inbetweens.
The Government is under fire from the new head of state to create this police force, the JLA their main foe, and the unexpected Inbetweems who seem to be crawling every where and know their every move. They have declared all heroes enemies of the state and only the ones who join them and are in the police group called The Invincibles, are given amnesty. They are a formidable foe but the only real threat from the government are the other superheros and super villains that have joined The Invincibles.
The JLA and their many members have taken on the government head on. They had great plans to effectively end The Invincibles, however, the Inbetweens stepped in and completely wiped out that plan. After a devastating battle they regrouped and are now creating new plans.
The Inbetweens are the most organized a band of villains has ever been. They come together and fight but they do it namely for their own gains. They have inside people in the government and the JLA who feed information and battle plans. The Inbetweens step in and disrupt them causing all sorts havok.
Will the moles be found? Will the JLA or the USA survive? Or will the villains be the victors and completely wipe out them both creating a new society of villains? The plot is set, all that is left is for you to do is to take on your opponents and find out how this will end.
I know this looks simple, and that is because it is. This isn't a massive plot, therefore we don't need a massive site, I will expand when necessary. If you have a suggestion just PM me, that's what the PM button is for.

I don't have too many rules but if you break them I will take action, so please don't. 1. No cussing, it's not hard just do it. 2. No vulgar language. 3. No betraying a Cannon Character. 4. Be respectful. 5. You must be active I will be doing activity checks and inactive people will be deleted. 6. 200 word minimum when posting in the plot. 7. No god modeling.
